Barbara Walters to Interview Sarah Palin
November 5, 2009 by Jeanne
Barbara Walters might have been a journalist for longer but when it comes to scoring big interviews, it’s hard to beat the power of Oprah.
Walters is going to get her chance at needling former Alaskan governor, Sarah Palin, but not before the controversial woman sits down on Oprah in an episode airing on November 16, 2009.
To compensate, Walters’ interview will be aired in five parts on Good Morning America and will likely focus on Palin’s failed run for the White House (as John McCain’s vice president) as well as her new book, Going Rogue: An American Life.

Sarah Palin Will Be Guest on Oprah
October 21, 2009 by Jeanne
Sarah Palin has agreed to sit down for an interview on Oprah in an episode that should air on November 16, 2009. I know that this is going to be HUGE for ratings! Hopefully, Oprah will ask all of the questions everyone wants to know: Why did she resign as the Alaskan governor? Does she still get along with John McCain? What’s the deal with Levi Johnston, the father of her daughter’s baby? Can she really see Russia from her old house?
Oprah originally asked Palin to be on the show during the 2008 election season but she declined. I’m guessing …read more
Couric Would Be “Thrilled” By Another Palin Interview
June 25, 2009 by Jeanne
Katie Couric’s interview of Alaskan governor, Sarah Palin, is now legendary. Things did not go well and Palin was unhappy with the line of questioning. Aside from the famous “I can see Russia from my house” comment, Palin seemed uncomfortable and ill-prepared for the role of Vice President of the United States. I do believe that it was a turning point in the McCain/Palin presidential campaign and I’m sure Palin wishes she could do it all over again.
While the stakes aren’t quite as high, Couric has left the door wide open for a second interview. When asked about the possibility …read more
Matt Lauer Talks to Sarah Palin About Letterman Feud
June 12, 2009 by Jeanne
Matt Lauer welcomed Alaskan governor, Sarah Palin, to the Today show this morning and they kicked off their discussion with an overview of what’s happening with the natural gas pipeline that she hopes will extend from her home state to western Canada.
Lauer didn’t waste any time moving away from the pipeline chatter to the controversial feud between Palin and late-night talk show host, David Letterman.
First, he wanted to know how the governor had heard about the off-color jokes Letterman made about her daughter and the remarks he made about Palin looking like a “slutty flight attendant.”
Letterman, who …read more
Sarah Palin and Barack Obama’s Family Holiday Updates
December 31, 2008 by Jeanne
Bristol Palin, the teenage daughter of Alaskan governor, Sarah Palin, has given birth to a baby boy a week later than expected. The Today show segment provided a little glimpse into what their life has been like since Sarah Palin lost her bid to become the vice-president as John McCain’s running mate.
They explained that Bristol, and the baby’s father, Levi, have been working on completing their high school diplomas via correspondence courses. Levi dropped out and has been working in a oil field to try to provide for his young family.
President-elect, Barack Obama, was caught shirtless as he vacationed …read more
Could Elisabeth Hasselbeck Replace Oprah?
November 19, 2008 by Jeanne
As people begin to speculate about the possibility of Oprah moving to her own network when her contract ends in 2011, rumors have been swirling about who could replace her. Could the next big talk show host be Elisabeth Hasselbeck of The View? I surely hope not. While I think her antics are entertaining (sometimes), I can’t see her having long-term appeal unless she’s going to fight and argue with her guests. Elisabeth without a feud is, well… boring. I don’t find her particularly enlightening and I’m afraid to have her spewing intolerance and ignorance to a whole new generation …read more
Sarah Palin Talks to Matt Lauer – Video
November 11, 2008 by Jeanne
Alaskan governor, Sarah Palin, talked to Today show’s Matt Lauer about her experience during the presidential campaign with John McCain. As you probably know, she was chosen as McCain’s running mate as he ran for President of the United States (they lost to Barack Obama and Joe Biden).
Her contribution to McCain’s campaign is controversial – many have blamed her for the loss, even. While talking with Matt, she took the opportunity to respond to the rumors that have plagued her since being launched into the spotlight.

After the jump, watch her talk about her …read more
Oprah with Tina Fey on 30 Rock Tonight!
November 6, 2008 by Jeanne
Oprah Winfrey and Tina Fey have both been tied to the U.S. elections this past year – Oprah has been a very vocal supporter of president-elect, Barack Obama while Fey has been praised for her spot-on impersonations of Governor Sarah Palin, who lost her bid to become the first female vice president with running mate, Senator John McCain.
Now, the two will be linked again when the talk show queen appears on Fey’s show 30 Rock. The guest appearance was suggested when Fey was a guest on Oprah. The comedian recently said: “this would never have happened if …read more
