Tune in February 26th and 27th for a two-part experience when Rosie O’Donnell visits the Tyra Banks Show. We all know that Tyra isn’t shy when asking questions about anything so I’m sure it’s going to be crazy! In addition to talking about her life, Rosie will also tell Tyra about her new Lifetime movie America in which Rosie plays a psychiatrist at a youth treatment center who helps a biracial boy named America to come to terms with his life. Sounds interesting! It airs on February 28th and March 1st and 3rd.Here are some quotes that I received from the show to share with you:

On drinking: “I stopped drinking on December 1st. It has not been easy…On November 29th, I was with my son, who is now 13, and I said to him, ‘Park, can you get me a beer?’ And he said, ‘No I don’t want to.’ And I said, ‘Really why not?’ And he says, ‘Because you know what, I think you drink too much beer…Lately I think it’s too much.’ I said, ‘You know when I was a kid, when I was 22, I stopped drinking for like eight years.’ He goes, ‘Well maybe you should do that again.’ I go, ‘Well honey what happens if I can’t do that?’ He say, ‘There’s a drunk club, I forget what it’s called, but you have to like be really drunk to get in, I don’t know if they’d let you in, but you could ask them for tips.’”

On Madonna: “Madonna. She’s the most famous person period, I think. She’s just moved back to New York with her kids so that’s great. So well get to be able to hang out more. We have kids the same age.”

“I had just seen “Truth or Dare” and she was the first woman that I met who had a similar situation to me. My mom died when I was a kid as did hers and I’m named after my mom as is she and I don’t know anyone else who has gone to their mothers grave and seen their own name.”

“She’s [Madonna] great, she’s a lot like a big sister. When I started having my hormone things, I’m like, ‘What the hell is going on?’ send, she’s like, ‘Get the cream’ send.”

On menopause: “Well let me tell you one thing Tyra, I am about to be 47 next month and Aunt Flow has not shown up for nine months. The worst thing is I am like ending that whole cycle and my daughter who is 11, is beginning the cycle. So the two hormones in the house, it’s a lot going on.”

“It started for me at 41…I would be in the bed and I would wake up and the sheets would be soaking wet, not damp, soaking wet… I thought, ‘Oh Vivi crawled in here last night and maybe she wet.’ So I would throw the covers off and turn to look and there’s no Vivi, it’s just Kelli and then I’m like, ‘Kelli is incontinent!’ And then I realized, no it’s me.”

“I would literally stand naked in the winter on my balcony in December in the middle of the night just to get cool.”

What turned people off? Poorly written skits, bad jokes and blatant placement of sponsor products.

Rosie, who I neither hate or love, has come out, guns blazing several times in the past and has pointed the finger at others when it comes to her misfortunes but, I wonder, if this recent flop will motivate her to be more introspective. At some point, she’s got to look at all that negativity, right? There have been many times when I’ve agreed with her argument and view of things but I feel like she ruins it by getting so nasty and negative. It just turns me off and I think it’s gotten to many others now too. It’s hard to remember the nice person who used to host her talk show Rosie. I know she said that she needed to be her own person and, after leaving that show, she came out of the closet as a lesbian but being gay doesn’t mean you have to be harsh and angry and, well, since liberating her sexual identity, it seems that’s all she is.

I hope she can continue to be the progressive, intelligent woman she wants to be but learns to either master her ire or learn to fake it. It’s show business after all – can’t she even act happy and nice?

She also talked about her upcoming primetime variety show, Rosie Live, which I think looks interesting. She describes it as a "jam-packed show" where she will have a 2 minute monologue at the beginning of the hour.

Have you seen any of the commercials for Rosie O’Donnell’s new variety show, Rosie Live? They almost remind me of the ads for the Bonnie Hunt Show (same kind of humor, you know?). Anyway, I am definitely going to give it a shot.
Here’s the first promo which features Rosie at a press conference where people don’t seem to remember who she is (come on!). At the end, she mentions that she used to have a talk show and someone says "Oprah?" and she says no and then someone says "Ellen?" and she says "you’re gettin’ closer." Ha ha!

In this second ad, Rosie poses as a security guard who is approached by a little girl named Sally, who has some questions about the show. Here is a bit of the dialogue:

Sally – "Will Rosie tell off a famous billionaire"
Rosie – "Oh little Sally, he’s not a billionaire."

I’m guessing that is in reference to Rosie’s feud with Donald Trump.

Sally – "Will Rosie yell at a skinny little Republican?"
Rosie – "No, no Sally. She did that for almost a year."

Clearly, they are talking about Rosie’s frequent arguments with Elisabeth Hasselbeck from her days on The View.
