OUCH!!!!  I had hoped that Rosie O’Donnell’s return to television, Rosie Live, was going to be triumphant but it fell flat after getting bad reviews and few viewers last week.  It wasn’t from a lack of star power, that’s for sure, since she had a plethora of celebrities including Alec Baldwin, Liza Minnelli, Alanis Morissette and a quick cameo from Clay Aiken.  Despite the effort, the show has been yanked from NBC’s lineup.
What turned people off?  Poorly written skits, bad jokes and blatant placement of sponsor products.

Have you seen any of the commercials for Rosie O’Donnell’s new variety show, Rosie Live?  They almost remind me of the ads for the Bonnie Hunt Show (same kind of humor, you know?).  Anyway, I am definitely going to give it a shot. 
Here’s the first promo which features Rosie at a press conference where people don’t seem to remember who she is (come on!).  At the end, she mentions that she used to have a talk show and someone says "Oprah?" and she says no and then someone says "Ellen?" and she says "you’re gettin’ closer."  Ha ha!
