Getting Along with Your In-Laws

Sometimes, a new daughter or son-in-law is welcomed into their new family with welcomed arms. It’s an ideal outcome since marriage really is about combining two families to create a new one. Unfortunately, things don’t always go as smoothly and it can be devastating for everyone involved. I’ve even seen it lead to divorces and nasty custody battles.

Should You Hide Money From Your Partner?

This isn’t something I’ve ever really thought about but the Today show took a look at whether couples should hide money from each other. As they mention, hiding money is different from having separate accounts instead of or along with a joint bank account. They talked about one woman who managed to save $800,000 without her husband ever knowing! Wow.

Are “Emotional Affairs” The Same as Cheating?
On the Today show, they talked about an issue that has become more and more common as technology advances – emotional cheating. This is when a committed partner or spouse develops feelings for someone outside of their relationship and may not include sexual contact. Since the attraction hasn’t become physical, some people feel that it doesn’t constitute cheating.
