I just wrote about Rachael Ray (and Oprah) choosing not to have children and then this morning, I was on the OK magazine website and saw this article about Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi.

While speaking with AOL’s Inside/TV, the talk show host said:  “No, I don’t think we’re going to have kids.  We have animals, and we love them. They don’t talk back, and they don’t explore their vocal chords out in public. Yesterday, the California Supreme Court upheld Proposition 8 (the ban on gay marriage ban) and I am not surprised to see that Ellen Degeneres and other celebrities are responding in a very public way.
Ellen and her wife, Portia de Rossi, are still legally married under the ruling (they wed last August) but she had the following to say: “I’m sure you heard the Prop 8 news. One day when everyone is treated with full equality, we’ll look back and realize how wrong this was,” Ellen said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

American mothers were asked to choose the celebrity they would feel most comfortable leaving their children with in a ParentDish.com poll.  There were several big names to choose from (including Oprah and Jennifer Aniston, who fared better than Angelina Jolie) but, in the end, the more than 10,000 moms chose (with 31 percent of the votes) Ellen Degeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, even though the couple have no children!
Aniston game in second with 22 percent (she has no kids either!), Jolie and Brad Pitt got 18 percent of the vote and Oprah garnered nine percent.

Ellen Degeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, were spotted grabbing a bite to eat at Los Angeles hot spot, Madeo.  Portia looked really beautiful with her hair down.  They both just looked really happy (maybe they had some “refreshments” with their meal – Ellen does look a little glassy-eyed).

It’s so interesting to look at their difference in style.  Portia is always so sleek and fashionable while Ellen likes a more laid-back look. They really compliment each other in that way.

After rumors of an impending pregnancy continue to swirl around the couple, Portia de Rossi, once again, sets the record straight – she and wife, daytime talk show host, Ellen Degeneres, are not expecting a baby and they are not planning to have any children any time soon.
In an interview with USA Today, Portia said "It’s the same thing every single year: that I am trying to get pregnant.  And I’m not. Maybe one day I’ll want to have kids, but it’s not something we’ve talked about recently."

Portia De Rossi, the wife of talk show host, Ellen Degeneres, will be appearing on Ellen’s talk show to discuss her new sitcom Better Off Ted but the actress revealed that she is nervous about the appearance. 

It seems that even Portia is worried that Ellen, who is known for asking very personal questions, will put her in the hot seat on national television: "It seems like a very awkward interview.  I mean she’ll make it flawless and I’m excited to talk about the show.  I just hope she doesn’t ask any personal questions.
