Jim Carrey Says "Yes" on Ellen Show
December 18, 2008 by Jeanne
Actor, Jim Carrey, was on the Ellen show yesterday where he talked about what he would be doing over the holidays (”getting fat”) and his new movie, Yes Man (I think that movie looks an awful lot like Liar, Liar and I don’t plan on seeing it).
Ellen asked about Jim’s longtime girlfriend, Jenny McCarthy, and her 6-year-old son, Evan. He said that he is very happy (good for him) and really did seem to be in a good place in his life. It was a nice interview. Watch it here:

Sean "Diddy" Combs Plays Game, Talks Fragrance on Ellen
Sean "Diddy" Combs was on the Ellen show this morning and, unlike last time, he didn’t get drunk. He did, however, talk a bit about his new fragrances for men "I Am King" and for women "I Am Queen."
They also played a fun game called "Diddy or Didn’t He?" They asked an audience member questions about things Sean Combs may or may not have done. It was a lot of fun. Watch the segment here:
Adele Sings "Chasing Pavements" on Ellen
December 11, 2008 by Jeanne
British singer, Adele, was on the Ellen Degeneres Show yesterday where she sang her hit song "Chasing Pavements" from her album 19.
The first time I saw her was on Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago (months ago?) and I was really blown away. Her voice is so mature and strong but, at the same time, there’s a real vulnerability there. Of all the British female singers out there right now (Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, etc…), I think I like Adele the most. You can learn more about her on her MySpace page!

Katy Perry Sings "Hot and Cold" on Ellen
December 5, 2008 by Jeanne
Katy Perry performed her new single "Hot and Cold" on the Ellen show today and, well, I guess it was a decent performance if you like either Katy or her song (or both). I, unfortunately, don’t like this song very much nor am I particularly a fan of Ms. Perry’s. Still, it was a pretty good performance.
I loved that her band had on elf hats, though. Didn’t really peg her for the festive type…
Emily Bear Writes Ellen A Wedding Song
This beautiful little 7-year-old piano prodigy was on the Ellen Degeneres show where she showcased a song she wrote for Ellen and her new wife, Portia De Rossi. The composition, called "Once Upon a Wish" was actually really intricate (some of the chord changes were also unusual and surprising – very nice!) and little Emily explained that she gave it that title because Ellen got her "wish." Is that not the sweetest thing ever? You could see Ellen fighting back some tears on that one!
