Barbara Walters to Interview Sarah Palin
November 5, 2009 by Jeanne
Barbara Walters might have been a journalist for longer but when it comes to scoring big interviews, it’s hard to beat the power of Oprah.
Walters is going to get her chance at needling former Alaskan governor, Sarah Palin, but not before the controversial woman sits down on Oprah in an episode airing on November 16, 2009.
To compensate, Walters’ interview will be aired in five parts on Good Morning America and will likely focus on Palin’s failed run for the White House (as John McCain’s vice president) as well as her new book, Going Rogue: An American Life.

Steve Harvey Joins Good Morning America
August 18, 2009 by Jeanne
I know that Steve Harvey got a lot of attention when he appeared on Oprah and talked about what men want in a relationship which was based on his best-selling book Act Like a Lady, Think Like Man.
Therefore, I’m not surprised to learn that Good Morning America has hired the comedian to be a regular contributor over the next several months. What will he talk about – relationships and parenting, of course! His first appearance will be this Wednesday, August 19, 2009 so make sure you set your DVRs!
He’s also going to interact with at-home viewers via Skype and …read more

Good Morning America Offers Swimsuit Advice
July 23, 2009 by Jeanne
Good Morning America offered some tips for picking a great swimsuit this summer. It’s a good segment since I know that so many people (women, men and children) struggle to find nice swimwear. Last summer, on a family trip to California, several of us needed to buy something new and it was such a long and arduous task that, by the time we were done, it was almost too late in the day to enjoy the beach!
One piece of advice that stood out was that we should try on everything and not just assume that a particular style or cut …read more
Bob Woodruff Returns to Iraq
July 14, 2009 by Jeanne
ABC News correspondent, Bob Woodruff, has returned to Iraq. If you don’t know what happened to him three years ago, you might not realize how significant his trip is.
On January 29, 2006, Woodruff and Canadian cameraman, Doug Vogt, were riding in an Iraqi army tank when a bomb exploded. Woodruff suffered a serious brain injury (Vogt was also struck in the head by shrapnel and sustained a broken shoulder), part of his skull was removed and he was kept in a medically-induced coma for 36 days to help facilitate his recovery.
Since leaving the hospital, he has been …read more
Father Discusses Michael Jackson’s Death on Good Morning America
July 10, 2009 by Jeanne
Joe Jackson, who you might remember as the man Michael Jackson accused of abusing him as a child, was on Good Morning America where he talked about his son’s sudden death.
Instead of allowing the police to conduct their investigation, the Jackson family patriarch is talking to as many people as he can about his belief that the King of Pop’s death was the result of foul play.
I’m very surprised that he could be so convinced considering the fact that Michael’s drug use is well documented and is likely the main reason he died. Of course, you might accuse …read more
Ashley Tisdale “It’s Alright, It’s OK” – Good Morning America
June 18, 2009 by Jeanne
Ashley Tisdale was on Good Morning America earlier this week where she performed her single “It’s Alright, It’s OK” which is the first release from her Guilty Pleasure album, which drops on July 28, 2009.
The track is a bit of a departure from what we’ve come to expect from the High School Musical star – it’s a little edgier with a slightly heavier rock sound. I think it’s great that she’s trying to experiment with a new sound and expand her talents. I wouldn’t say that I love the song or the performance but I know that it’s a little …read more
Jonas Brothers on Good Morning America
The Jonas Brothers were on Good Morning America last Friday where they performed for the Summer Concert Series. They have been touring to promote their new album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, and their new single “Paranoid.”
As the mother of two teens, I have tolerated the music of the Jonas Brothers for the past little while but I have to admit that this newest album (particularly the single) is actually pretty good. It’s a new, more serious sound for them and I think it suits their post-puberty voices (sorry, it had to be said).
In addition to “Paranoid,” the boys …read more
Green Day on Good Morning America
May 22, 2009 by Jeanne
Punk rock group, Green Day, was on Good Morning America this morning where they sang songs from their new album 21st Century Breakdown as well as some of their older stuff like “American Idiot.”
With a group this experienced, I’m not surprised that they did a good job (plus, I think GMA has a really good stage). The other songs they performed were current single “Know Your Enemy,” “21st Century Breakdown” and “Longview.”

May 15, 2009 by Jeanne
At last, the nominees for this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards have been announced! Of course, some of our favorite talk shows and talk show hosts have been nominated so here is a list of some of the categories and nominations.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show has by far taken the crown for the most amount of nominations this year with over six of them! Rachael Ray and Dr. Phil got a good amount as well. Who are you rooting for? I have no idea who’s going to win for Outstanding Talk Show. It’s quite a close match, so it should be …read more
