OneRepublic Sing “All the Right Moves” on Ellen

OneRepublic, who you probably know best from their hits “Apologize” and “Stop and Stare,” were on Ellen earlier this week where they performed their new single “All The Right Moves” and I thought they did a truly excellent job.  The chorus is in the upper register and I wasn’t sure Ryan Tedder was going to be able to pull that off live but he did quite well.

Miley Cyrus Performs On Today Show’s Concert Series

Fans of teen star, Miley Cyrus, were treated to an outdoor concert as part of the Today Show Concert Series.  She always has a good amount of energy and I think that, considering her young age, she’s quite a good live performing.  She sang her new song “Party In the USA” as well as “The Climb,” “See You Again” and “Kicking and Screaming” (extra videos after the jump!).
Check out “Party in the USA.”

Flo Rida Performs on Today Show

Rapper, Flo Rida, performed on the Today Show Concert Series yesterday and he performed his huge hit “Right Round” along with “Low” and “Jump.”  I think that there were some minor audio issues but, overall, he did a good job and I can’t believe how much energy he was able to muster at such an early hour!  That part always amazes me about the artists who perform on these morning talk shows.

Ashley Tisdale “It’s Alright, It’s OK” on The View

Ashley Tisdale “It’s Alright, It’s OK” on The View

Ashley Tisdale, who might know best as Sharpay from the High School Musical franchise, performed her new single “It’s Alright, It’s OK” on The View this morning.  So, considering what the original song sounds like, this was a decent live performance but I really hate The View’s stage setup.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck commented on the fact that the sound is a lot edgier than what fans might be used to and then asked Ashley about her upcoming movie, Aliens in the Attic.  Check it out:

Rascal Flatts Perform on Today Show Concert Series

Country music superstars, Rascall Flatts, performed on the Today show’s “Summer Concert Series” this morning.  Of course, being the seasoned veterans that they are, they did a great job.  The crowd was definitely excited and the weather looked decent outside of the New York City studio!

It was really cool to see parents and young children singing along to “Me and My Gang.”  They really seemed to have a great time.  They also sang “Here Comes Goodbye” and “Summer Nights” (see those videos after the jump!).

Rob Thomas on Today Show’s Summer Concert Series

Rob Thomas on Today Show’s Summer Concert Series

Rob Thomas released his second solo album, Cradlesong, this week and I’m not sure it’s going to do as well as his first effort, …Something to Be, but he’s off to a pretty strong start.
His first single is “Her Diamonds” and I think it’s an odd enough sounding song on the recorded version so I was curious about how it would turn out during a live performance.
Rob pulled it off pretty well (I’m always impressed by those people who can sound relatively decent outdoors at 8am).  I am sure it was a lot of fun for him too since …read more

The Jonas Brothers Perform on The Today Show

This morning on The Today Show the Jonas Brothers stopped by to perform a bunch of their fan favorites. They started off with their hit singles, “Burnin’ Up” and "Lovebug" which were off of their 2008 album “A Little Bit Longer.” Then, they treated the audience to their songs “Paranoid” and “Much Better”, both off of their newly released album “Line, Vines and Trying Times.”

They sounded relatively good, something that’s not always common for the Jo Bros. I find they have a hard time with live performances, but I respect that they still are quite young and seem to …read more

Ashley Tisdale “It’s Alright, It’s OK” – Good Morning America

Ashley Tisdale “It’s Alright, It’s OK” – Good Morning America

Ashley Tisdale was on Good Morning America earlier this week where she performed her single “It’s Alright, It’s OK” which is the first release from her Guilty Pleasure album, which drops on July 28, 2009.

The track is a bit of a departure from what we’ve come to expect from the High School Musical star – it’s a little edgier with a slightly heavier rock sound.  I think it’s great that she’s trying to experiment with a new sound and expand her talents.  I wouldn’t say that I love the song or the performance but I know that it’s a little …read more

Black Eyed Peas Perform on Today Show

Black Eyed Peas Perform on Today Show

The Black Eyed Peas were on the Today show’s Summer Concert Series this morning where they performed their hit “Boom Boom Pow” which, as Matt Lauer explains, has been at the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 for 10 weeks.

I really didn’t like the song at first but once it grew on me, I couldn’t stop singing it.  I think they did a good job considering how tough it’s got to be to do a song like that one outside early in the morning (I see will.i.am got some “assistance” during the autotune sections but I guess that is to …read more

Taylor Swift Performs on Today Show Concert Series

Taylor Swift Performs on Today Show Concert Series

Taylor Swift performed on the Today show’s “Summer Concert Series” this morning and she looked beautiful.  The 19-year-old country superstar performed some of her best songs and I think she did a great job.  Granted, I think her songs are better written than she can actually sing (sorry) but all things considered, it was a nice set of performances.

She talked about her experience since becoming such a big star (she sold out a concert at Madison Square Garden in one minute!).
Watch her sing the cute and romantic song “Love Story” (one of my daughters sang in front of the screen …read more
