Homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches
September 2, 2009 by Jeanne
I love ice cream sandwiches but I find that the ones you buy at the store get a little boring after a while since there isn’t a lot of variety in terms of what the cookie is made of and what flavor the ice cream is. That’s why I love seeing segments like the one on the Today show since it was all about making your own at home.
Yes, I realize that it’s super simple but seeing this made me remember that I could just whip up a batch and the best part is that I can use low-fat ice …read more
What’s Kathie Lee Gifford’s Favorite Meal?
Some surprise guests were brought into the Today show studio to surprise Kathie Lee Gifford last week when they showcased the co-host’s favorite meal. She saw the food (lamb chops, mashed potatoes, corn, spinach and rice pudding) and immediately got suspicious.
The owner and chef from Neary’s Pub were on the show where they demonstrated how they make their delicious lamb chops (it looked sooo easy!). I’ve always been intimidated to make those types of foods at home but I’m beginning to have a change of heart after this demonstration!
Kourtney Kardashian Reveals Baby’s Father on Today
August 13, 2009 by Jeanne
Kourtney Kardashian was on the Today show this morning where she talked about her surprising pregnancy (I was so shocked last night – I couldn’t believe it!). Of course, the first question on everyone’s mind was “who is the father?” since Kourtney doesn’t seem to have a steady boyfriend (although, she’s been in an on-again/off-again relationship with Scott Disick).
Kourtney sat down with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford, (a long-time friend of Kourtney’s mother, Kris), this morning on the Today show and she spilled the beans that Scott is the baby’s father and that they are back together. This revelation …read more
Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana on Today Show
Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana made their way to The Today Show where they talked about their new movie, The Time Traveler’s Wife, which is an adaptation of the 2003 novel written by Audrey Niffenegger. It revolves around a librarian named Henry (Bana), who has a condition where he travels through time when he is stressed. Despite this, he attempts a relationship with artist, Clare Abshire (McAdams).
They dish a bit more about the film in their interview. Eric spoke about getting over losing his clothing in front of camera as well as his Australian accent. Rachel also discussed the on-camera …read more
Kathie Lee Insults MC Hammer In Front of Son
June 11, 2009 by Jeanne
Kathie Lee Gifford made some comments yesterday that have caused a real stir across the internet. When she and co-host, Hoda Kotb, were talking to MC Hammer yesterday morning, Kathie Lee thought it was appropriate to address the rapper’s 10-year-old son to talk about his father’s failed career. He said that it was not something that should be said to a child and she still pressed on saying that his son could learn lessons from his mistakes. Wow.
Watch the interview (try not to squirm) and let me know what you think:
Kathie Lee Has Advice for Kate Gosselin
June 2, 2009 by Jeanne
Today show host, Kathie Lee Gifford, has weighed in on the problems of Kate Gosselin (Jon and Kate Plus
and her family. If you remember, Kathie Lee has also suffered from marital problems (her husband, Frank Gifford, was caught having an affair with a flight attendant back in 1997) and I guess she’s learned a few lessons from that.
While speaking to Us Magazine at an event at the American Theatre Wing in New York City, Kathie said: "I would turn off the cameras if I were them and just work on healing together as a family. Who knows …read more
2009 Daytime Emmy Award Nominees Announced!
May 15, 2009 by Jeanne
At last, the nominees for this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards have been announced! Of course, some of our favorite talk shows and talk show hosts have been nominated so here is a list of some of the categories and nominations.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show has by far taken the crown for the most amount of nominations this year with over six of them! Rachael Ray and Dr. Phil got a good amount as well. Who are you rooting for? I have no idea who’s going to win for Outstanding Talk Show. It’s quite a close match, so it should be …read more
Zac Efron Talks About 17 Again, Gets Confronted by Kathie Lee
Zac Efron was on the Today show this morning to talk about his new movie 17 Again. The plot reminds me of a combination of Freaky Friday and Big since he plays the younger version of Matthew Perry’s character who suddenly is 17-years-old again. Unfortunately, his film promotion wasn’t the highlight of the interview…
I haven’t been able to find a video but, this past weekend, Zac Efron hosted Saturday Night Live and it was a pretty good episode. Of course, the show couldn’t resist making fun of the one-year anniversary of Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb pairing up. Zac …read more

March 17, 2009 by Jeanne
Today is St. Patrick’s Day and, those who celebrate, might have some fun watching this segment from the Today show where they can test their knowledge about the day!

What nationality was St. Patrick?
What is the meaning of the shamrock?
What is the most common surname in Ireland?
What is the capital of Ireland?
What is Ireland’s national drink?
What is the national symbol of Ireland?

Today Show Kitche: Cooking Asian Cuisine
March 9, 2009 by Jeanne
On the Today show, hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford, took a look at Asian cuisine. As Hoda pointed out, there are 47 countries in Asia (did you know there were that many?!) and each has their own distinct culture and cooking style which makes food from this region so diverse and flavorful.
They invited one of my favorite television chefs, Ming Tsai, to help them showcase the different foods. They started with Chinese food and, of course, Kathie had to make faces about things that she didn’t like but then stuffed an entire lettuce wrap in her mouth and …read more
