Former Grey’s Anatomy star, TR Knight was on Ellen earlier this week and I thought the interview was actually pretty adorable.  He talked about being in the musical Parade but it was his story about the cast that got some laughs.  He explained that one of their favorite games to play is “How Many Chins?” and he showed Ellen how to play it.  Basically, one person asks the other “how many chins?” and then that person presses their chin to their chest to see how many folds, or “chins” they can create.  If you don’t get it, watch the video …read more

Ellen DeGeneres is the new fourth judge on American Idol.  Isn’t that great!!!???
Ellen has been a long-time fan and supporter of the show and always has the eliminated contestants on her program.  When the rest of the world was shocked when young Josiah Leming was cut from the show without even making the finals, she had him on and showered him with gifts that could help him further his music career.

Ellen Degeneres was a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance last season so I wasn’t too surprised when I saw the Top 10 finalists from Season 5 on her talk show today! 
Of course, Ellen took an opportunity to have a little fun and, after the dancers did their individual entrances she asked the group if they remembered the choreography that she had taught them.  What happened next totally surprised me (and should really embarrass Katie Holmes for her lacklustre performance on the show).

It was a fun night watching the Daytime Emmy Awards last night.  Did you catch the show?  If not, here’s a quick rundown of how our shows and hosts fared.

I wasn’t surprised at all to see that the Tyra Banks Show won the “informative” talk show award since she is constantly trying to push the envelope to educate her viewers whether it’s a giant stuffed vagina or having pregnant prostitutes on the show to tell their stories.  She really has carved out a niche for herself and I’m really happy for her.

Talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres, won the very first Teen Choice Award for “Choice Twit” for her amazing Twitter updates.  I love following Ellen because her tweets are great (and she doesn’t neglect her account like some other daytime talk show hosts who will remain nameless).

Just giving you fans a heads-up to make sure your DVRs are set to record the100th episode of So You Think You Can Dance.  Not only will Katie Holmes be performing this week (yes, singing and dancing!) but our beloved Ellen DeGeneres will be serving as a guest judge!

I just wrote about Rachael Ray (and Oprah) choosing not to have children and then this morning, I was on the OK magazine website and saw this article about Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi.

While speaking with AOL’s Inside/TV, the talk show host said:  “No, I don’t think we’re going to have kids.  We have animals, and we love them. Ellen’s Biggest, Longer and Wider Show premieres on June 27, 2009 and some big names have been added to the roster.  The TBS variety special will feature appearances by rapper, Kanye West, street magician, David Blaine, and Nick Cannon will serve as the DJ.  
The show will be taped during Chicago’s Just For Laughs festival which marks the first time the event has been held in the United States.

Yesterday, the California Supreme Court upheld Proposition 8 (the ban on gay marriage ban) and I am not surprised to see that Ellen Degeneres and other celebrities are responding in a very public way.
Ellen and her wife, Portia de Rossi, are still legally married under the ruling (they wed last August) but she had the following to say: “I’m sure you heard the Prop 8 news. One day when everyone is treated with full equality, we’ll look back and realize how wrong this was,” Ellen said in a statement to Access Hollywood.
