Bonnie Hunt got a great birthday message from her mother on her talk show and I think the video is absolutely beautiful!  It takes a lot of courage to sing a song on national TV but Bonnie’s mom delivered a very sweet rendition of “You Are My Sunshine” via Skype and it just warmed my heart.  I just love Bonnie because she seems like a completely real person.

Rosie Perez was on The Bonnie Hunt Show where she talked about being back in Culver City where she used to be a waitress at Sizzler (yikes!).  First, she seemed horrified that Bonnie brought it up but then she explained that she really hated that job, especially when it was “All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp” day.  She said that one guy kept asking for refills so often that she just put a bucket of the shrimp on his table – ha ha!

Today, on The Bonnie Hunt Show she ran encore of her interview with Tony Shalhoub of the hit television show, Monk appeared on this morning. Tony plays the role of Adrian Monk, a crime consultant who suffers from severe obsessive compulsive disorder. It was quite an interesting interview because he says that after playing the role of Monk for seven seasons, some of the character’s obsessive tendencies have been rubbing off on him!

Singer Jewel stopped by The Bonnie Hunt Show yesterday to promote her seventh studio album “Lullaby.” During her interview, she spoke a bit about her husband, Ty Murray, and they even showed a clip of him shaking it up on “Dancing with the Stars.” It’s such a cute little clip!
Jewel also spoke about her love for one of the latest trends: Twitter (check out her Twitter page). She says that it’s great for keeping rumors under control and setting the record straight. Her newest album was released on May 5th, so grab a copy if you’re interested!

Bonnie Hunt talked about the fact that, recently, fellow talk show host, Oprah Winfrey, was upset because people thought that she was wearing a weave.  Bonnie couldn’t understand why Oprah was so upset (I’m guessing Bonnie has no idea how hard it is for some people to grow out their hair but I digress…).  Oprah showed a picture of her hair prior to styling so that people could see that her hair is, indeed, real.

Talk show host, Bonnie Hunt, loves Dancing With the Stars and she found herself wondering what it would be like if she ever went on that show (hint, hint producers!).  She decided to try dancing with “Philippe” and it was a bit of a catastrophe.  I cracked up when she asked where he was from and he said “Spain” even though he was faking a French accent.  Watch the segment:

Bonnie Hunt revealed on her daytime talk show that she and her mother, Alice, got into a debate over Easter dinner.  That part isn’t too surprising – families fight all the time during the holidays.  This disagreement, however, wasn’t over who killed the family cat or whether Bonnie had to wear embarrassing clothes to school. 
Instead, the two women disagreed about whether the dessert Alice brought was a lemon cake or a lemon pie.  Her mother’s explanation was priceless.  Watch the video here:

As many of you have probably heard, comedian/actor, Jamie Foxx, came under fire earlier this week after he made some inflammatory comments about Disney star, Miley Cyrus.  During a segment of his Sirius radio show, The Foxxhole, Foxx and others in his studio called the 16-year-old singer a “little white b*tch” and said she should grow up, take heroin like Britney Spears, go lesbian like Lindsay Lohan and make a sex tape with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus (listen to audio from the show).

Bonnie Hunt was on The View yesterday where she talked about hosting her own talk show (she said it’s very different from being in movies), the fact that she didn’t have much of a social life until recently and the fact that she grew up in a home with six siblings.  They talked about her mother’s regular appearances on The Bonnie Hunt Show which I always find hilarious.
