Countdown to Oprah’s Jay Leno Interview!

Ok, I have to admit that I was disappointed by one of Oprah’s recent guests. A sit down with Denise Richards? Really?
But the queen of talk has been reaching out to guests who are relevant to today’s headlines (Denise talked about her ex Charlie Sheen’s arrest, for example), so I guess we get it.
Speaking of headline making guests, Oprah’s most-talked about guest this month would have to be talk show host Jay Leno, who will sit down with O to discuss the Conan/NBC controversy tomorrow. Score one for Oprah!
We can’t wait to find out what Oprah will ask. After all, …read more

Sign Oprah’s No Phone Zone Pledge

Today’s episode of Oprah brought attention to a dangerous habit that is claiming the lives of drivers and pedestrian victims each year. That deadly habit is texting while driving. Oprah’s guests included families who lost loved ones because of distracted drivers who were texting on the road. At one point, Oprah said she doesn’t use the word stupid very often, but that’s the word she thinks of to describe anyone who thinks it’s OK to drive and text at the same time.
After the show, Oprah.com posted a No Phone Zone Pledge that reads:
I pledge to make my car a No …read more

Living Oprah?: Author Spends One Year Living by Oprah’s Advice

I love, love, love this idea! Did I mention that I love this idea? A Chicago woman spent an entire year living her best life (based on Oprah’s advice, of course) and she has written a book all about her experience.
According to USA Today:
“In 2008, Okrant followed every piece of advice offered by Oprah on her show, her website and her magazine, O— from what to wear (leopard flats) to what to buy (chairs) to what to eat (turkey burgers).”
So, how did it go? Robyn Okrant, 37, says the experience did bring about some clarity in her life, but she …read more

Oprah Winfrey Wants to Interview Tiger Woods

Will Oprah Winfrey land an interview with Tiger Woods? We don’t know, but she’s definitely going to try!
Oprah, who was invited to Tiger’s wedding in 2004, is now inviting her womanizing friend to her talk show. The Oprah Winfrey Show’s producers have confirmed that they have reached out to Tiger’s people about a possible interview. There’s no word yet on whether Tiger has accepted or declined.
