Did Regis Go Too Far With Kate Gosselin?

Earlier this week, Kate Gosselin, the mother (and title character) on TLC’s hit reality show, Jon and Kate Plus 8, was on Live With Regis and Kelly and there was a lot of chatter about the line of questioning that she faced from one of the hosts.

Kate and her husband, Jon Gosselin, have filed for divorce after 10 years of marriage and, among other things, they’ve been talked about in the press so much about her alleged affair and bad parenting and Jon’s infidelity.  A lot of viewers were heartbroken to see this family fall apart but it happens to even the best of people and, while I haven’t always been a fan of Kate, I think that she has conducted herself a lot better through this ordeal than Jon has. 

Of course, some people have been holding out hope that the famous couple would get back together and, apparently, Regis Philbin is one of them.  He really pressed her about whether she would go back to Jon and said that the couple might “live happily ever after.”  I thought it was really inappropriate even if it is something that a lot of people have wondered about.  What do you think?  Did Regis go too far?  Watch the video and decide!  Kate actually looks close to tears.
