Suspicious Package Found at Oprah Studios

July 31, 2009 by Jeanne

People is reporting that the Chicago bomb squad was summoned to Harpo Studios to check out a suspicious dark-colored backpack with wires hanging out of it.  A security guard discovered it in a flowerbed outside of the building.

The building wasn’t evacuated and it didn’t explode but police are still investigating the contents after it was found around 6:20am this morning.  Hopefully, it’s just a case of some kids who lost a backpack with audio visual equipment inside.

Anderson Cooper Asks The Bachelorette About Sex

July 31, 2009 by Jeanne

I love, love, LOVE when Anderson Cooper is the guest host on Live With Regis and Kelly and I know a lot of you readers do too since I get a lot of comments when I put stuff up about him.

This week, the show welcomed the newest Bachelorette, Jillian Harris, and her fiancé, Ed, and Anderson decided to ask the unthinkable – how many of the guys had she slept with on the show?  The audience went nuts, Kelly Ripa almost got up and ran and Jillian and Ed burst out in embarrassed laughter.  She avoided the answer and said that she kissed 10 guys but only four with tongue.  Anderson’s response – “you know what?  I just threw up in my mouth.”

You gotta love Anderson.  I think he forgets this is daytime television and not the investigative journalism required on his CNN show AC360.  Watch this!!!!

Rosie Perez Talks To Bonnie Hunt About Her “Sizzler” Days

July 30, 2009 by Jeanne

Rosie Perez was on The Bonnie Hunt Show where she talked about being back in Culver City where she used to be a waitress at Sizzler (yikes!).  First, she seemed horrified that Bonnie brought it up but then she explained that she really hated that job, especially when it was “All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp” day.  She said that one guy kept asking for refills so often that she just put a bucket of the shrimp on his table – ha ha!

She also said that she had repeat customers since they seemed to like that she was rude to them.  I’m sure she was an entertaining server to have.  I always find her adorable so check it out (has she aged at all?  She looks gorgeous!).

Wendy Williams Discusses Sherri Shepherd’s Bikini Outfit

July 30, 2009 by Jeanne

Sherri Shepherd of The View will be wearing a bathing suit next week and she’s been working hard to try to look her best.  I hope she shows that swimwear can be flattering on women of all sizes!

Wendy Williams took a moment out from her talk show to discuss what Sherri should do to look her very best.  She said that Sherri should have “big hair” because “the bigger the hair, the smaller the body” and should avoid flat shoes since heels will make her legs look longer.

Custody Settled For Michael Jackson’s Children

July 30, 2009 by Jeanne

A major overnight development has taken place in terms of the custody agreement concerning the three children of the late pop star, Michael Jackson.  As the Today show reported, Jackson’s mother, Katherine, has been given custody but Debbie Rowe, the birth mother of the two oldest kids, Prince Michael I and Paris, has been granted visitation rights.  A child psychologist will be involved.  No details about the mother of Jackson’s youngest son, Prince Michael II (a.k.a. Blanket) have emerged.

This is what I think should happen so I’m glad.  I feel a little sorry that Blanket doesn’t have a mother in his life but sometimes kids are better off without knowing their birth parents so maybe that’s the case here.  I hope that Rowe and the older kids can develop a relationship and I hope that she’s able to answer any of their questions about why she chose to have them and then walk away.

Anyway, here’s the segment with Meredith Vieira:

Ashley Tisdale “It’s Alright, It’s OK” on The View

July 29, 2009 by Jeanne

Ashley Tisdale, who might know best as Sharpay from the High School Musical franchise, performed her new single “It’s Alright, It’s OK” on The View this morning.  So, considering what the original song sounds like, this was a decent live performance but I really hate The View’s stage setup.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck commented on the fact that the sound is a lot edgier than what fans might be used to and then asked Ashley about her upcoming movie, Aliens in the Attic.  Check it out:

Wendy Williams Show Talks About Octomom Reality Show

July 28, 2009 by Jeanne

The ever-opinionated new talk show host, Wendy Williams, talked about Octomom (a.k.a. Nadya Suleman) on her show this morning but it was an audience member who brought down the house.  She got up to the mic and said: “I a so sick of everybody talking about this “Octomom.”  I mean come on!  Black women have been having 17 and 18 babies for years.”  Wendy almost spat out her water.  It was priceless.  Watch the video:
