Kate Gosselin Talks About Rumors, Book on Today Show

Kate Gosselin, who you probably know best as the wife/mother on TLC’s hit show Jon and Kate Plus Eight was on the Today show this morning to promote her new book, Eight Little Faces. 
Before they could get to that, however, host Meredith Vieira suggested they get rid of the “elephant in the room” and discuss the rumors about her husband, Jon.
First, a photo of Jon with an unknown woman was taken outside of a bar in the wee hours of the morning. Then, the woman’s brother claimed to have proof that Jon was being unfaithful to Kate (he even supplied footage of the man leaving his “lover’s” house at 7:30am after sleeping over). Then Jon and Kate addressed the gossip and denied that any of it was true (read a recap of the whole thing on Every Joe!).
I was very interested in seeing how she was going to respond to the questions about the whole scandal. She said that she is very hesitant to believe any of 
the allegations and that having rumors made up about them “goes with the territory” (of being on television). Meredith got right to the point and said that Kate was “no shrinking violet” (understatement of the year!) and asked how she really reacted when she first heard the stories. She said that they are working through it but that they are dealing with it privately. Jon sent a message to be read on-air and he reiterated that he did not cheat on Kate.
Meredith quickly changed the topic and asked Kate about her book and what advice she has for new moms. She said “every day do your best, it’s one step closer to your goal which is raising health, happy, independent adults.” That’s definitely how I see it.
What did you think of the interview and, more specifically, Kate’s reaction to the questions about Jon’s behavior? I can’t lie (on several points). I’m having a hard time believing Jon. I’m not saying he’s guilty but the evidence of his “poor judgment” is overwhelming to me, as a wife. I know a lot of people talk about how Kate treats him on the show and I can’t help but wonder if that has played a role in any of this as well. The fifth season of the show is coming later this month and I wonder if this experience is going to change their relationship at all. I also wonder if Kate is going to soften up when all is said and done. I feel sorry for their family, though, because no kids should be in the middle of this type of scandal and controversy.

kate has nothing but use her children for finanial gain,all the free trips which the young ones will not remember.jon got his job from kate’s new rich friend.they can not afford their lifestye on his salary.
What else would you suggest doing to raise money for 8 children? I think she’s doing what anyone would do if handed the opportunity! It’s sad that people judge others without really knowing the person.
I don’t know who will publish or buy another book by Kate. She can do a followup on her first book, but what is there left to learn? It has all come out in the filming of her show and in all of the whining appearances that she has made.
I contacted Zondervan Publishing several months ago re: her proposed 3rd book, Love is in the Mix, Making Meals into Memories. I told them that all the recipes that Kate had in the book were already on the backs of cereal boxes, cream cheese containers, soup cans and in women’s magazines. I remember making that flag cake that she claimed she invented over 30 years ago. It was on the cover of Women’s Day or Family Circle this summer and Kate wasn’t mentioned as the author. All the recipes were stolen and changed slightly by even one ingredient or a new name she made up.
Zondervan told me that they WERE NOT PUBLISHING THE BOOK! I am sick of this woman. Please, people, contact TLC and tell them NO MORE KATE. e-mail Zondervan and tell them that you are not interested in any book by Kate. They send individual responses not a canned one like TLC sends you.
Let’s get this media whore off the tv. Let her put her hooker heels on and go back to nursing. I pity any woman in labor looking up and seeing that witch. She most likely will make the laboring woman move to the floor so that she won’t have to change her bed.
