Oprah Uses Twitter For First Time Today!
April 17, 2009 by Jeanne
Oprah Winfrey has joined the Twittersphere (http://twitter.com/oprah) and posted her very first Twitter
message this morning on her daytime talk show. What was said in this groundbreaking event?
"HI TWITTERS . THANK YOU FOR A WARM WELCOME. FEELING REALLY 21st CENTURY," she wrote. That’s it. Very basic.
Amazingly, the last time I checked she was close to having 130,000 followers already and she got a message from fellow talk show host, Jimmy Fallon, who said he was at a deli for a photo shoot. She tweeted back: "Hi Jimmy. Order a reuben for me."
She even provided a quick update on her new pet, Sadie, a cocker spaniel who has had some gastrointestinal issues. She wrote: "Sadie’s great. Gets her rabies vaccine today."
Very nice, Oprah! Welcome to the Twitterverse! Don’t forget to follow the other daytime talk shows/hosts on Twitter!
