On Dr Phil: Nadya Suleman vs Gloria Allred
March 25, 2009 by Jeanne
Today on Dr Phil, the most famous mother of octuplets, Nadya Suleman, is set to take on attorney Gloria Allred. The issue is that Gloria represents
Angels in Waiting, and organization that had offered free nannies to Nadya to help care for her babies (and the six children she already had at home). The childcare workers filed three separate reports to Child Protective Service and Allred believes that is the reason why Nadya has decided to fire the nannies.
Nadya disagrees with that reasoning and said “The primary issue was that myself [sic] and my nannies felt extremely uncomfortable. I personally felt like a stranger in my own home. The goal was to empower me as a mother, help me, train me. I’m open to that, I want that, I want to do the very best for these … premature babies. I wanted them [AIW USA] to use their training and knowledge to help guide me. I felt that was never accomplished. I felt as though every time I tried to hold the babies, feed the babies, they would be observing and they were waiting for me to make a mistake.”
Four of the octuplets are home from the hospital and are being cared for by Nadya and the nannies she has hired. Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Hospital is also keeping a close eye on the situation.
“I’m disappointed that the two parties could not find common ground to work together. Now my concern for the 14 children continues to be my singular focus,” said Dr. Phil in the opening of Wednesday’s show.
The special episodes will air today and tomorrow. I will come back and add to this post after I watch today’s show. I do want to say, however, that as a mother, I can understand what Nadya is saying. I’ve been in situations where it feels like you’re being watched so closely that you’re bound to mess up. If we had a camera in every family’s home, I think we could find reason to call CPS at least twice a day.

All right! We have to take the new generation away from their parents because we are trained to play magicians.
We are the only perfect people, nobody in the American History could have never raise so many children. It is all mothers’ fault because they do not know how to avoid their children drestroying schools, killing teachers or whoever they feel like. We have to refuse biological mothers. It is just us that never make mistakes.
Happy Mother’s Day, Ms. Suleman!
I hate you! You are almost as sick as the Duggar family! You have a child fetish and you’re using the innocent lives of your bastard children as pawns to get a free ride. You’re a sick, sick person and I hope you pay for what you’ve done! You and the Duggars are in the lower eschilon of todays society and I hope you all are proud of yourselves. Enjoy the rest of your miserable little lives being under the scrutiny and criticism of the public and the world! Don’t be mad at me, just remind yourselves, you picked this!
