Jill Biden Let’s One Slip on Oprah Show

Vice president-elect, Joe Biden, was on the Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday with his wife, Jill, and they chatted a lot about this historic election.  Today, Barack Obama will be sworn in as President of the United States but Jill Biden let it slip that her husband had a choice – he could have been Secretary of State (a job that eventually went to Senator Hilary Clinton who fought to be the first female president) or he could have been Vice President. 

I know it seems like a bit of a slap in the face to Hilary since it’s now known that her position had been offered to someone else but, what I take out of it is that Obama must have had a lot of faith in Biden to allow him the option.  Both jobs are so important so, to be offered a choice of either of those two is quite amazing.
