New Regis and Kelly Theme Song – Video

This morning, Live with Regis and Kelly revealed their new intro and theme song. The show also went HD for the first time today as well. What a great, fresh start to 2009!
So, do you like it? I really do. I think it’s a nice improvement over the last one and the show was long overdue for a makeover!
This is without a doubt the worst piece of music ever written. Any one can play a silly little scale and press the AFRO CUBAN button on a toy keyboard
Now i Know that this contest was fix or the people judging no nothing about music that song is horrible doesnt even fit the show way to go live with regis good if your gona give a so called producer a break it should have at least been a good song sorry for the honesty
I was really hoping to see some killer piece of music win… I have to agree with k aranjo above… this is a horrible theme for a show… any show. Did you want a melody???

I have been in the production business for over 20 years…and I have to say…then person who decided this track works with this picture should be fired. Not only is the music a lame track on its own…it does nothing for the picture…Who the heck put this person in charge of picking music? You might want to hire a real composer now and get a real theme…
I submitted my theme song for the show, and obviously didn’t win. But I had thought, given the template that ABC set for us composing this theme that they would’ve picked a song that sounded bigger than that.
I’m not going to down another fellow musicians’ triumph, I’m happy for him. But what was selected for the new theme song sounds as if the music supervisor could just as well have selected a good Apple Loop, or Sony Acid loop from a library to achieve the same effect.
I’ll post my entry on YouTube in about a week or 2 at the most for everyone else to judge for themselves what I created.
C’mon, really? I heard plenty of submissions on YouTube that should have won over THAT.

Not only is the Regis theme song horrible- the producers are ***ing the person who wrote it. I think it was a $100,000 buy out. Sure this is alot of money, but the whores who now own it- are making almost $1mill a year with this stupid song through publishing. What a scam. As far as the actual music- it is garbage and I wouldn’t doubt for a second if it was written by someone who is somehow connected (relative) with the show & it’s producers.
The original theme was the best by far. Gelman!!! Stop meddling with this show!!!
