The View "Hot Topics" – November 24, 2008

This morning on The View, the ladies talked about a number of things including politics, of course.  Whoopi Goldberg brought up the fact that some people have suggested that President Bush should step aside immediately and let president-elect, Barack Obama, take over.  Obama isn’t supposed to take over until January, which is the traditional transition, but some people want to do away with this waiting period and just get things started now. 

One good argument against this is that Obama needs to be properly briefed and brought up to speed with what is going on behind-the-scenes and how things operate.  I know this is a scary time but I think the best thing is for things to happen as planned.

They also talked about the pastor who challenged his congregation to have sex for seven nights straight.  Joy quipped that it figures that a man made this suggestion.  Whoopi said that she would have been more impressed if the pastor had suggested the couples go for a walk every night for a week.  That way they could talk and spend some time together.
