Brad Pitt Talks Life, Love and Angie on Oprah

I have to say that there was many a time when I was not too pleased with Oprah’s behavior following the split of Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt.  It’s no secret that Oprah loves Jen, and I realize that the way their marriage ending was not ideal (or even moral, in some people’s eyes) but it’s not up to Oprah to decide what is right and wrong.  I felt like she picked sides when she seemed to deliberately avoid having Brad, or his new partner, Angelina Jolie, on the show.  Even when she did an episode about Hurricane Katrina, they were not invited despite their admirable humanitarian efforts in New Orleans and around the world.  I was happy (and nervous), when I learned Brad would be on the show to promote his new film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

While there, Brad opened up about fatherhood, happiness and Angelina Jolie (was it me or did he look very nervous?).  The way he talked about his family was so touching (and normal!) and he talked about how what it’s like to be constantly hounded by paparazzi (can you imagine!?). 

I was really pleased that Oprah made mention of the fact that Brad seems happier than he’s ever been and I really agree with her.  I wasn’t completely impressed by how he got into a relationship with Angie but when you see how in love they seem and how strong their family is, it’s hard to find fault.
