Make a Delicious 5-Minute Drizzle!

November 18, 2008 by Jeanne

How To Cook EverythingMark Bittman was on the Today show to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his book, How To Cook Everything, which features 2,000 recipes for great food!

He demonstrated his technique for making a 5-minute drizzle and used some of my favorite ingredients – onions, garlic, shallots, ginger, scallions and lemon grass in addition to liquids/fats like lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, olive oil and butter.  Sounds good already!

A drizzle is basically a sauce for putting over meats and other foods (maybe veggies?).  I wouldn’t suggest doing these too often since they are a little heavy on the fat but I think they are so tasty once-in-a-while.  The things he put together looked really delicious!
