Hasselback Upset With Co-hosts, Walters Says She Needs to "Cool Off"
September 30, 2008 by Jeanne
The presidential campaign seems to be causing a rift on The View these days with the rumors suggesting that Elisabeth Hasselbeck is upset with her “liberal” co-hosts (she’s a staunch Republican). I find it particularly appalling because Elisabeth is the only one of them who has gone to a party convention and trashed a former guest, Michelle Obama, the wife of Democratic presidential hopeful, Senator Barack Obama.
The Chicago Sun Times wrote (with information from a longtime View staff member): ”It’s not as bad as during the Rosie [O'Donnell] era” but that it’s gotten to the point where Barbara Walters has had to call a ”cooling off” meeting.
It’s always Elisabeth vs. someone so maybe it’s time to consider her the problem. I’m a bit exhausted by all of the hand-holding and “calming down” people need to do with Elisabeth. Either toughen up and take it or stop dishing it out, is my opinion…

Someone get Miss Survivor Australia a tissue. Wah Wah Wah…what is it with the Republicans…they can dish it out but they cannot take it. Please do us all a favor and get rid of this Reality TV Reject. The truth hurts doesn’t it Elisabeth?
I LOVE TODDS COMMENT HE HIT IT ON THE NAIL.Yes please please get rid of her,so many people I no longer tape the show to watch after work..they all hate her..If she wants to sleep so bad with these people then she should just leave. She is not why we watch its whoopi and joy they are great..taking this republican thing way too far..I wanted HILLARY to win but next best is Obama. Is she gonna cry when the republicans loose..I hope Elisabeth gets egg on her facve and then shuts up
She doesn’t need to cool off, she needs to peddle her malarky elsewhere. She ruins the whole show, with her despicable personal agenda. Even a generous portion of Republicans are sick to death of the lamebrain antics of their own party. That is why, along with the undeniable intelligence, grace, and ability to inspire the change we so desperately need, Barack Obama has become our President-elect. We NEED him. It is our time to have him. It came none too soon. NOW, we ALL have to get BESIDE him in his efforts to fix the mess that has been created for him to inherit. They had their chance to lead, so now they must follow, or get out of the way. We must NOT allow those who want to focus on mud-slinging rather than digging ourselves out of this gaping whole, to sabotage our collective goal. Time for those who have slept IN for way too long, to wake up and actually help to preserve us as a people, who deserve liberty and justice for ALL.
