American Idol’s Cook and Archuleta on The View – Video

American Idol winner, David Cook, and the runner-up, David Archuleta, were on The View this morning and it was a great interview!

They were asked about all sorts of things.  Of course, they answered questions about whether they were dating (Archuleta said no but Cook said that there is someone – I think it’s former Idol contestant, Kimberly Caldwell).

Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked Archuleta’s dad, Jeff Archuleta (who was sitting in the audience), about all of the rumors surrounding his behavior as a “backstage dad.” 

Jeff explained that he believes David is just a really good kid and the media was frustrated that they couldn’t find anything negative to say about him.  Cook chimed in and said that he never saw Jeff do anything bad and that he just always seemed like a loving, caring and supportive father.

David Archuleta also sang “Stand By Me/Beautiful Girls” and, of course, it was really good.  Watch the interview and Archie’s performance:
