Tim Russert’s Son Shares Memories on Today Show
Luke Russert, the son of Tim Russert, appeared on the Today show this morning where he talked about his father, who passed away suddenly from a heart attack just a few days ago. Tim, as you may know, was the host of Meet the Press and his passing was quite a shock.
In a nice moment, Matt Lauer, told Luke about how much his father loved him and talked about him. I personally think that Luke looks an awful lot like his dad and my heart goes out to him, having lost his father right before Father’s Day.
It’s was a great to hear him just talk about Tim from a personal perspective and really get a sense for what he was like as a person rather than just the host of a television show. I would like to express my deep condolences to the Russert family. May they find peace during this very difficult time.
I was fortunate enough to see this fine young man speak about his father this morning on the today show. He was very composed and expressed his thoughts about his father in a very compassionate and dignified way. My thoughts and prayers go out to this young man and the rest of the Russert family. The hardest time is yet to come, the final goodbye. Be strong, and walk proud as your Dad is smiling from ear to ear.
