The Bachelor and Fiancée on Ellen – Video

May 14, 2008 by Jeanne

The Bachelor on EllenThe Bachelor, Matt Grant, and his fiancée Shane were on Ellen this morning where Shayne gave Ellen a bit of a hard time since the talk show host publicly said that Matt might be more interested in one of the other contestants, Chelsea. It was actually pretty funny.  He seems extremely charming but I’m not sure about Shayne (or her dress – did you see how short that outfit was?!?!?).  She’s definitely attractive but slightly obnoxious.  Matt barely got to talk at all.

Shayne also talked about the fact that they are going to have two children and then raise one in the U.K. and one in Los Angeles.  Ellen asked if Shayne had discussed this with Matt or if she was just announcing it (she definitely comes off as making all the decisions so I don’t blame Ellen!). The conversation got even stranger when they talked about the possibility of their being on future reality television shows (he mentioned doing one about his funeral!).  Watch the interview here:

Horses That Can Paint on The Early Show

 horses that paint

Yes, you read that correctly.  There was a story on The Early Show this morning about horses that can paint artistically.  Apparently, these horses were suffering emotionally in some way and have found an outlet through painting.  One woman, Cheryl Ward, who happens to be an artist, has taught all of her horses to “paint” even though she chooses the color, shapes the direction of the painting and decides when it’s finished.  Hmmm… So far, she has sold over forty of the paintings, some for as much as $3500!  Do you think this is art?

britney spears accident

Singer Britney Spears was involved in another car accident and, of course, there’s footage and all kinds of gossip.  She rear-ended an SUV but, fortunately, there were no injuries and no damages.  This is her second fender bender since April 12th.

Barbara Walters Discusses Book on Ellen

May 14, 2008 by Jeanne

barbara walters on EllenBarbara Walters was on the Ellen show this morning where she talked about her new autobiography, “Audition” which has just been named a “bestseller.”

Something she revealed that I didn’t know about was that she doesn’t know how to drive.  Isn’t that incredible?!  I would never have believed it.

She also talked about the lovers she had over the years (yet, they only take up about 5 pages in the whole book!) and how she is enjoying having people see a different side of her.

Al Reynolds Makes Statement About Divorce from Star Jones

Well, I’m guessing the soon-to-be ex-husband of former daytime talk show host, Star Jones, has had just about enough.  Al Reynolds posted a message on his MySpace page and he seems pretty upset.

There has been so much speculation about why Star and Al have split up and, to be honest, most of the reasons stem from perceived defects in Al’s personality.  He has fought back and is asking people to get to know him, rather than believe the he is a “gigolo” or even homosexual (that’s the biggest rumor I’ve heard, to tell the truth).  He explains that he is a “professor, business owner, doctoral student and author” and would prefer not to be labelled.

Here is the statement:

Dear Friends:

If you think you are having a tough day, may I propose you walk in my shoes for a few hours.

In my mind, it feels like “Dump on Al Month.” And I’m not having fun yet.

I have been called a gigolo, a freeloader, unemployed, a sham and many other things that don’t bear repeating. People on television, radio and the internet have spoken disparagingly of my life, my sexuality, my career and my integrity.
