Matt Lauer Wants to Interview Tom Cruise Again

Today show co-host, Matt Lauer, wants to interview movie star, Tom Cruise, again after that disastrous exchange in 2005 while Cruise was promoting “War of the Worlds.”  As you might remember, the pair butted heads when Cruise criticized the overuse of psychiatric medication, particularly for post-partum depression.  The actor admitted on Oprah last week that he regretted his choice of words during the interview but Lauer is now saying: “I don’t think he needs to apologize.  I don’t feel there are any hard feelings. It was an interview. It was a good moment on television.”

What does Lauer think about meeting Cruise again?   “The doors are open,” he said. “I hope he comes back and sees me real soon.”
