Barbara Walters at "Audition" Book Signing
May 8, 2008 by Jeanne
Barbara Walters was at a book signing at a Barnes and Noble in New York City yesterday. Her autobiography “Audition” has sparked some controversy over the fact that she admits to having an affair with a married politician some years ago. I’m not even going to bat an eye over it, to be honest, since these “memoirs” that public figures come out with always involve dishing out some information that people find offensive. Honestly, though, why do they do it? Does the world need to know why you hated someone, who you slept with and the truth about your professional relationships? I am not saying it’s not entertaining but I do think there’s a line where we start to lose our dignity and respect for the lives of those we include in our stories.
What do you think? Should celebs keep their big mouths shut or do you need all the gossip?
