Kathleen Turner on the Today Show – Video
February 13, 2008 by Jeanne
Actress Kathleen Turner on the Today show and talked about her new memoir “Send Yourself Roses.”
She had a lot of things to say and was critical of those people who let themselves get type-cast into certain roles in Hollywood. She also had kind things to say about Danny DeVito, Michael Douglas and Jack Nicholson but was less kind about Burt Reynolds and Nicholas Cage.

Monica Seles on the Early Show – Video
February 13, 2008 by Jeanne
Monica Seles was on the CBS Early Show this morning. I haven’t seen her in a long time and I still remember her as a young girl so it surprised me to see this woman on television! She looked great and she talked about her tennis career and the sport in general. She also discussed the stabbing and the loss of her father.
She had a lot of great things to say. Watch the interview:
Today’s Romantic Tips For Valentine’s Day
February 13, 2008 by Jeanne
This comes from the Today show and was originally called “Teach Your Man Romantic Tricks For Valentine’s Day” but I couldn’t use such a sexist title. I think that both men and women could stand to learn some romantic tricks but, I’ll admit, that it is usually women who claim neglect in this department.
So, for anyone who is looking for a little more spice this Valentine’s Day, here are the tips (I’ve tweaked them to be more gender-neutral):
- Spell it out – Get specific when it comes to making romantic suggestions. most people can’t read minds so they are bound to do the “wrong thing” if you have some sort of expectations. Just spell it out if it’s really important – “It would be really romantic if we could have strawberries and champagne by candlelight while I’m in some pretty new robe that you get me.” See, that wasn’t so hard?
- Drop gift hints – Some people are comfortable with asking for exactly what they want. Others (like me) might try a different approach like leaving notes under their loved one’s pillow or asking a friend or family member to casually suggest something.
- Be a role model – If you want romance, make sure you are giving as much as you want to receive! Tender embraces, spontaneous displays of affection and writing little love notes are all great ways to get things started.
- Be revealing – When you open up to someone, it creates instant intimacy. Try telling your loved one something personal about yourself and your feelings, and ask them to reciprocate. If you’re feeling adventurous (and frisky), you could trade sexual fantasies, tell each other what you like in bed, or just reveal something that scares you or you have always dreamed of doing. Also, you might try dancing! This a great way to be romantic and intimate at the same time.
- Give him/her positive reinforcement – If your loved one puts forth the effort, make sure you tell them how much you liked/appreciated their effort and how you hope that they will do it again. Everyone likes to feel recognized and, who knows? Maybe you won’t need to drop so many hints next Valentine’s Day!

Oprah had the “kids” from the cast of The Cosby Show on yesterday and it was a great moment! Of course, Bill Cosby makes an appearance via satellite.

Ellen Degeneres previewed some pretty funny inventions yesterday on her show. Among them were the “boyfriend” and “girlfriend” pillows. I could try to explain them but it’s much better if you just watch the video for yourself!
