Montel Williams Leaving Show After 17 Years

Veteran talk show host, Montel Williams will end his show’s 17-year run with this season.
“I can’t say thank you enough to those who’ve welcomed me into their homes for the past seventeen years,” Williams says in a statement. “It has been both an honor and a joy.”
Next season, CBS is planning to do a full-year of programming highlighting “the most exciting episodes from the last 17 years.”
Wow… I’m pretty surprised, actually. I know that his show will be missed by many but I hope that this just creates more opportunities for him.
Good luck, Montel, and thank you for putting your show on the air for nearly two decades. It will be missed.

MONTEL IS MY FAVORITE SHOW AND HE JUST INVIGORATES ME ALL THE TIME. NOT SURE WHY HE IS LEAVING BUT I MAY BE AT THE TOP OF PEOPLE WHO WILL MISS HIM TERRIBLY
For just over three minutes on Saturday morning, TV talk show host Montel Williams owned the hosts of Fox and Friends. A former Marine and Naval officer, Montel lectured the stunned hosts on the stupidity of spending air time on the death of Heath Ledger, rather than covering the war in Iraq. It was a spectacle rarely seen on live cable television, as Montel exposed and condemned both tabloid “news” shows and much of American culture for what they have each become: shallow and greedy.
Three minutes into this awkward segment on Fox, one host cut off Montel in order to go to a commercial. Montel did not return after the break. Four days later, after 17 years as a television host, Montel lost his job. For the record 37 soldiers have died this month
It takes a leader to lead people Montel is a leader! Once again the elite tried to shut a voice! God help us all again this proves we no longer have free speech in America.
Once again our networks is not run by
people who have the good interest in our nation but by people who want to own OUR nation! American citizens stand up and fight for your freedoms your Nation needs you our forefathers shed their blood for themselves and US you and me! What is next public humiliation then arrest!
firing people didn’t start with Montel look at what happened to Linda R in Vegas and many many others who spoke out againt these policy making people.
ask yourself what is being taught in public schools? -why are all our jobs leaving America? -do you not realize that “they” want us toatlly dependent on the government? Thank God Montel made a stand in his own way on what he believes why aren’t you American citizens demading the same? too busy watching about Britney and rehab? Sports who is doing what to who? Do you really not know what “they” are doing to all of us? Is a news reporter really reporting the news? Do you even see the news any more? Do you know what is behind all the mortgage crisis? People lend your ear to the truth please wake up America Please wake UP

My above statement was in response to GerriG’s statement about Montel Williams being fired. I was dissapointed to hear that if it is a true statement.

Montel WAS a driving force to the truth of this nation with his many topics. Montel is a true American hero and i wish nothing but the best for him and his family. I will truely miss him and his show and “S B” on his show. His show was never about feel good jumbo mumbo it was real –ashame we will no longer have that in American television –the last person who faught the good cause was Phill Donahue he got “removed” now Montel has been “removed”.

I was searching some information about yesterdays show and landed on this site. I am very surprised that Montel’s show has been cancelled. Too bad because Montel is one of my favorite shows and you Montel give Hope to so many people. Your show will be missed and I for one will try to follow your career because you enlighten and empower people and I know whereever you go and whatever you do it will be for the good of mankind.
I am sad to hear Montel would be going off the air. He has shed light on many topics that needed to be brought to the publics attention. He will be missed.
I had the pleasure of being in the audience for the show with Jack Canfield. The whole experience was wonderful and I was looking forward to doing it again.. oh well.. I admire Montel especially dealing with all his own challenges and still doing his best to help others.

I hate to see you go montel. I have been trying to send you an email for quite sometime and tried today but it keeps coming bk saying invalid email. The email i want to send pertains to ms. plz send my the site i can send a letter to you in regards to my friend that has email. I can not believe that FOX did this to Montel. What happened to Freedom of Speech is that not allowed anymore? A man who served his country for the employees of FOX so they could live a more comfortable life and this is how they repay him. What a slap in the face!!!!! I can’t understand them doing this to him they only hurt themselves. For Montel will go on to better things and FOX I’m sure will go down in rating for they lost one of the greatest TV talk show host that has been around in many years. Montel is truely a real person that believes in helping anyone anyhow giving and not taking,they(FOX) will suffer for it. I’m sure alot of viewers out there will take FOX off their regular tv schedule, I no I will. As for you Montel, I wish you only the best in everything you do, may you only strive stronger and continue your fight with your MS and I too hope and pray a cure is found.
