Dr. Phil continued to make his rounds through the talk show circuit as he’s been continually questioned about his involvement with Britney Spears.  The ironic thing this morning was that Britney was hospitalized again overnight which made the discussion fresh and full of new questions.  He was very careful, I noticed, in his wording and it was an interesting interview.

 Eva Longoria Parker talked about the fact that she wears wigs (hilarious) and how hubby, Tony Parker, isn’t allowed to touch her hair.

She also talked about how the timing of the writers’ strike is perfect because she gets to spend time enjoying this first year of marriage (Tony is also injured – he is a star basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs). 

Eva was on the show to promote her new movie (out this Friday) “Over Her Dead Body.”

  Overnight, Britney Spears was committed to a mental hospital (under a 5150 hold) and was transported by ambulance.  Apparently, her doctor felt it was necessary for Britney to get more intensive mental help.

I really hope this girl gets some help.  She’s a human being, she’s obviously troubled and deserves the same degree of well-wishing as anyone else.

Veteran talk show host, Montel Williams will end his show’s 17-year run with this season. 

“I can’t say thank you enough to those who’ve welcomed me into their homes for the past seventeen years,” Williams says in a statement. “It has been both an honor and a joy.”

Next season, CBS is planning to do a full-year of programming highlighting “the most exciting episodes from the last 17 years.” 

Wow… I’m pretty surprised, actually.  I know that his show will be missed by many but I hope that this just creates more opportunities for him. 

Good luck, Montel, and thank you for putting your show on the air for nearly two decades.  It will be missed.

Singing sensation Sara Bareilles paid a visit to the Ellen show this morning and she talked about how she got discovered and how she’s been on the road with Maroon 5 and that she’s about to tour with James Blunt.  She also talked about some of her bad nights.  Pretty funny!

Elisabeth Hasselbeck was super excited this morning about the New Kids on the Block reunion.  I cannot lie – I did a happy dance when I heard this news.  I have always adored Jordan Knight and I cannot wait to see what they do with their reunion!  Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar had a great time making fun of Elisabeth’s excitement.
