Paul McCartney Dating Barbara Walters’ Cousin?

It’s not even that big of a surprise for me, especially when you considered how harshly Barbara Walters criticized Paul McCartney’s ex-wife, Heather Mills. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Paul is now dating Bab’s cousin, Nancy Shevell!!! People.com is reporting the following:

Walters revealed the connection on The View Monday morning. As a photo of McCartney and Shevell was flashed on the screen, she said, “See, that lovely, young, conservative, attractive-looking woman with Paul McCartney? Well, I love her very much. She’s my cousin.”

Of the couple’s romance, Walters added, “I think it’s very nice.”

Walters gave some more details about Shevell. “She’s my second cousin,” she said. “Her mother, who died, was my first cousin. And I have been very close to this young woman. … She’s separated from her husband, who’s a nice man. The marriage wasn’t going well, and they’re separated.”

She also moved to correct what she said were inaccuracies about Shevell in the press. Some reports “said she had known McCartney’s first wife [Linda]’s family, and that she knew Heather [Mills]. She did not,” Walters said.

Last week, Walters criticized Mills, McCartney’s estranged wife, for blaming the press for all of her troubles. On Monday, she emphasized that that was before she knew of McCartney and Shevell’s romance.

“I knew that there was someone, but she’s very discreet,” Walters said.

Wow… I can’t even say anything else…
