Ellen and Portia’s Doggie Emails

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s emailed correspondence about their now infamous of the dog named “Iggy” has been posted on the Smoking Gun website. I usually try to avoid this site but I’m feeling adventurous.

I cannot believe this has even gone on this long! We have starving children all around the world who don’t get this kind of atttention. Anyway, the main points are as follows:

• Ellen and Portia love the dog
• Ellen and Portia decide to give the dog away
• Mutts & Moms express their shock
• Mutts & Moms’ Marina Baktis tells the couple that Iggy’s relocation constitutes “a betrayal of our trust” and a violation of the contract.
• Portia responds- “Your email is truly heartbreaking to many people.”
• Ellen’s hairstylist, Cheryl Marks, pleadingly emails Mutts & Moms stating that after two weeks, Iggy is “bonded and loved by our family.”
• Baktis insists he must be returned.

I guess it’s a slow news day…
