It was -- BY SOMEONE WHO GAVE IT TO JESSICA SEINFELD. WHO IS THAT SOMEONE? That must be answered. Since the manuscript was written by a "nobody" (Lapine) and there was no agent, Seinfeld and co. thought they could just steal it! Shocking! It was retooled by Jessica Senifeld and her ghost writer, and at the same time, Missy Chase Lapine got an agent, and her book was swiftly published by Running Press. It was published and did well, I believe. When Jessica's stolen book was pubished a short while later, you can imagine Lapine's shock, and that of her fans who have seen this all in her book!
